After attending several photography classes at Morris County College, I began work as a freelance photographer in 1985, and presented my first one-woman exhibit at the Ultimate Image in Cranford, N.J. in 1988. As a photographer/presenter I have received numerous awards at several New Jersey venues and now in Washington, NC, where my husband and I have retired. I first presented in the Beaufort County Annual Fine Arts Show and then in the Juried Photography Show when it separated from the Fine Arts Show.
I have also exhibited my pictures at various locations in New Jersey and Washington, North Carolina and am represented at the BCAC Lane Gift Shop and Gallery and Inner Banks Artisan’s Center.
I recently attended a photo-journalism class at the Main Media Workshops, taught by Linda Meyerriecks, a photo editor from National Geographic Travel Magazine. For the past three years, during the last week in October, I have assisted Ann Eheringhaus, the photography instructor, at the Ocrafolk School on Ocracoke Island .
My computer is my chemical–less dark room where I color manage my pictures and print through my computer to an Epson 2200 printer with archival pigment inks, using archival exhibition papers, which range from Epson’s watercolor paper, smooth luster, ultra premium matt to canvas. I have a line of note papers, as well as matted prints and prints on canvas, known as Giclee.
