Ben A. Watford was born in Winton(Hertford County), North Carolina. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Howard University in 1957 and his Master's Degree from Tuskagee University in 1960. He lives in Fairfield Harbour near New Bern, North Carolina with his wife, Barbara. His published works include, "The Coming of the Comet", "A Man and a Mule", "The Complete Book of Fussing and Nagging" and "You Can't Fall Off The Floor". He is an active potter for more than forty years. His objective is to have everyone in the world own one of his pots. He has had several one man shows at Art Galleries in Eastern North Carolina. He is an avid golfer.
