Jackie Jones, born in Martin County in the small town of Oak City. In growing up, was a member of the Martin County 4-H and won statewide baking contests.
Jackie lives in Halifax County in Scotland Neck. Occupation: Own Franchise of Safeguard Business Systems (24 years) selling business Forms, Checks, and Promotional Products (a Deluxe Check Company) .

I started preparing sweets for Sylvan Heights Waterfowl Park located only 4 miles from my home (cheesecake, lemon curd, etc.) and chocolates for their Valentine Fund Raiser.
As I made chocolates, I needed to expand on my knowledge of chocolate, so I attended the chocolatier workshop offered by Cargill in Lititz, Pa. in the Fall of 2009. I am a Member of the Retail Confectionary International Association (RCI). The local Halifax County Tourism Department has been very instrumental in promoting my products. We are in the process of building a production facility that will give us the opportunity for major growth and expansion.
